Steve is the owner and president of Ehrlich Design Builders, with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. Over the years, he has been a superintendent, project manager of various construction sites; including ground-up construction, remodels, tenant buildouts, demo’s, design and builds. Some of his clients include: Valero, Buffalo Wild Wings, Kroger, Albertson’s, HEB, Brinker, Pro Ranch, Howdy’s Convenience stores, Top Golf, Circle K, Texas Roadhouse, City of Fort Worth Tactical Center, and Schlotzsky’s.
Steve prides himself on quality, perfection, time management of his employees and making sure the job is done right the first time. He is actively involved and will often be seen on the job site, bidding, travelling for work and pre-construction meetings.
Steve enjoys travelling, concerts, playing golf, spending time with his family and relaxing at the lake house. He has been blessed with 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 step-daughters and 12 grandchildren.
Cindy is the co-owner and chief financial officer/treasurer of Ehrlich Design Builders. Prior to starting the company with Steve in 2008, she worked in retail management of Albertson's grocery stores in the DFW metroplex, as a store director. After over 30 years of management/financial experience, she retired from Albertson's in 2010 and has worked full-time with Ehrlich Design Builders since then.
Cindy manages all office personnel; overseeing all paperwork, billing, accountings and has also been a project manager for Buffalo Wild Wings. Cindy stays actively involved and will be seen working in the office (or home office), travelling for work with Steve, and construction meetings.
She enjoys travelling, trips to the beach, shopping, being with her kids and grandkids, relaxing at the lake house, and her precious bernedoodle, Mollie.
Kjerst is our Senior Project Manager. He has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since the company began in 2009. Kjerst manages all of our construction personnel and oversees all ground up and remodel projects. He specializes in bidding and building professional relationships with our clients. On top of his managerial duties, his top client is Brinker International (Chili's). His knowledge and expertise over the years has helped him achieve being second in command, under owners Steve and Cindy Ehrlich. Kjerst is hard-working and extremely knowledgeable of the company background and project construction.
Joel has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since 2013 and has over 40 years of construction experience. Joel is a project manager based out of Kansas and specializes in bidding new projects and managing jobs for Dillons, Bakers, Kroger and Gerbes grocery stores. He is in charge of hiring and managing sub-contractors and employees through project completion; scheduling and ordering manpower, equipment and materials to ensure a timely project completion. Joel goes the extra mile to make sure your project is a success.
Joel started in the construction business as a teen, working for his father who was a carpenter for a custom home builder. After a 4 year stint in the military as a Combat Engineer, Joel returned to Kansas working in residential construction ranging from new homes, remodeling, and insurance work; water, fire, tornado damage. He was in this line of business for 20 years, 13 years as a foreman. At which point, he decided to start his own independent contractor company, with a niche in commercial remodeling. One of Joel's favorite and most challenging projects as an independent contractor was converting an automatic car wash into a beauty college.
Bob has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since 2014 and has over 11 years of construction experience. He started as a carpenter with our company and worked his way to one of our highly skilled project managers. Bob specializes in bidding, scheduling and efficiently managing jobs for Albertson's and Tom Thumb grocery stores.
Bob moved from Missouri to Texas to pursue his career in the construction industry, following in the footsteps of his father and owner, Steve Ehrlich. In Missouri he worked doing finish outs at UTSW hospital and worked as a carpenter; framing and trimming custom homes.
Lionel has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since 2018 and has over 35 years of construction experience. He specializes in bidding and managing jobs for Kroger, HEB and Five Below. His expertise includes but are not limited to: bidding, establishing project budgets, developing schedules, issuing contracts to sub-contractors, ordering materials, change orders, and onsite construction meetings.
With over 35 years of commercial remodel and ground up experience, Lionel has had the pleasure to work with some of the top companies including; Walmart, CVS, Kroger, HEB, Churches and Five Below. In the past, he has also worked doing tenant finish outs, multi family and single family subdivisions/residences while working for ACS Construction and Perdue Construction.
Lionel comes from a family of 15 siblings and spends his time enjoying large family gatherings. Lionel is blessed and thankful for what he has in life.
Reggie has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since 2016 and has over 44 years of experience in the construction industry. He specializes in bidding and managing jobs for tenant finish outs and new builds for Texas Roadhouse, Avalon Development and the famous Redneck Riviera Bar in Nashville. On his projects, Reggie will provide estimating, contracting, project management, owner liaison, subcontracts, scheduling, pay applications, progress reports, progress meetings and project close outs.
Reggie's extensive work history includes experience as a scheduler, senior project manager, VP construction, director of construction for various companies including: Fish Engineering, Brazos Energy, Hallmark Builders, RAS Builders, and W B Kibler. He has travelled Nationwide completing projects such as commerical, industrial, petro-chemical, medical, retail, institutional, churches, restaurants, elementary and high schools, financial and tenant finish outs. Reggie has had the pleasure of finishing ground up and remodel projects for top notch companies including: Walmart, Target, Sam's Club, Plano Super Bowl, LaHacienda Ranch, Famous Dave's BBQ, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Rodizio Brazillian Steakhouse, Otis Engineering, Union Carbide Nitrogen Plant, Ben E Keith, Albertson's, Waxahachie Fire Station, Kmart, City of Fort Worth Tactical Center, PetsMart, Bed Bath & Beyond, McAllister's Deli, Best Buy, JCPenney, Robert W Plaster Center (Pittsburg State University), Office Depot, Rockwall Crossing Retail Developement, Rockwall Plaza Retail Development, WSS Shoe Stores, Corner Stores, Sam Moon Retail Developments, and Cosmocel in Waxahachie.
John has been with our company since 2010. He started as a carpenter and worked his way to one of our highly skilled project managers. John specializes in bidding and managing jobs for Buffalo Wild Wings and Kroger grocery stores.
Prior to working with Ehrlich Design Builders, he worked as a residential project manager of Perry Homes for 8 years. He is highly trained in both residential and commercial construction. He specializes in project bidding, managing job site personnel, and oversees the projects from beginning to end.
Sherry is an Assistant Project Manager and has been with Ehrlich Design Builders since 2021. Sherry is currently assisting Lionel on managing projects for Kroger grocery store remodels. She specializes in overseeing projects and making sure the job sites run effectively and efficiently.
Sherry previously worked as a Reset Operations Manager with Kroger as a liaison between the General Contractor and store personnel. Her knowledge and experience working for Kroger has given her a specialty in grocery store remodeling and allows her the expertise to stay on schedule and handle any issues that may arise.
She has two beautiful girls (ages 29 and 21) and 3 grandchildren (ages 9, 10 and 13). In her free time she enjoys beach vacations and camping with her fur babies.
In addition to our highly qualified project managers, we also have our team of superintendents. These employees are on the job site managing their team of carpenters and sub-contractors. They are in charge of insuring jobs are done in a timely, safe manner and all work is satisfactory.
Our carpenters are led by our superintendents. We hire highly skilled professionals who can undertake a range of jobs including but not limited to: woodwork, flooring, maintenance, installation, remodels, fixtures, drywalling, painting. We require teamwork, safety compliance, skill accuracy and exceptional time management.
Our team of office administration is top notch. We have several skilled individuals working to insure all of our operations, procedures, payroll, filing systems, correspondences, and all clerical functions are completed in a timely manner.
